2026年1月1日から、居住者が国外で得た動産・不動産の資本所得と譲渡益が IRPF の課税対象となった（Ley N° 20.446）。国外の労働所得の扱いは未確認。新たに税務上の居住者となった者には、国外の動産資本所得（利子・配当等）について、IRNR を移住年＋10年選択する（この所得は非課税）か、IRPF 7% を期限なく選択する制度がある（2020年以降の居住者。2026年改正の影響は未確認）。
From 1 January 2026, foreign-source capital income and capital gains (movable and immovable) of resident individuals are subject to IRPF (Law No. 20.446). Treatment of foreign employment income is unverified. New tax residents (from 2020) may opt, for foreign movable capital income, to pay IRNR for the year of arrival plus ten years (leaving that income untaxed) or IRPF at 7% without time limit; the impact of the 2026 changes is unverified.
